Little Flowered Mountain Mahogany (Cercocarpus brevifolius)

		*Little Flowered Mountain Mahogany (Cercocarpus brevifolius)* can be grown as a shrub or small tree. It is hardy to zone 3, grows to 12' and has a spreading crown. Prefers full sun and good drainage, has low water needs and is drought tolerant once established.

		Foliage is acute to rounded at apex, with toothed margins. Green on top and paler beneath.

		Flowers are tiny, yellow and not showy, solitary, and appear in May and June.

		Seeds are long, spiral and plumed, provided good winter interest.

		Bark is gray to brown with fissures.
